Following in the footsteps of Lizzie Tolman, Tom Wolfenden, Michael Edge, Harry Wright to name but a few of the Birtwistle Award previous winners, the Chair of Lancashire, Graham Holt, presented this prestigious award to Ananya Sanil during the Senior County Restricted Tournament.
Already selected to play for England at U15 level, the list of titles won by Ananya is extremely impressive - and, at just 13 years of age, she has many more to come I am sure.
Always playing with a smile on her face, Ananya's attitude, both on and off the court, is exemplary. She sets a shining example for all players and is a very worthy winner of this year's Birtwistle Award.
