The popular M65 Junior Badminton Tournament has been running since 2018 and is held at Pendle Leisure Centre in Colne.
Intended for Year 9 and under and Year 11 and under badminton players who have yet to reach junior county standard, it is an ideal way for youngsters to have their first experience of competitive badminton.
Held over four rounds, teams from Colne, Rossendale, Craven (Skipton), Forrest (Bolton), Heywood and Oldham entered the tournament this year, with extra/spare players often forming an All Stars team to ensure the groups were balanced in terms of games played.
This year's winners:
Year 11 Group A, Tony Kelly's Oldham, with Ray Schofield's Forrest topping Group B.
Year 9 Group A, Oldham narrowly beat Nigel Holt's Rossendale, last year's winners
In Group B, Linda and Peter Wilkinson's Craven team topped the group.
The players and their team managers vote for an overall Player of the Tournament over the four rounds:
Sherlock from Forrest won in Year 9 and under
Eric from Rossendale won in Year 11 and under
