One of only 8 counties, our young U13 Junior county team faced stiff opposition from: Berkshire, Leicestershire, Kent, Warwickshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Berkshire and Essex.
This is the first time Lancashire has run an U13 team so finishing 5th in the Shires' league final is a huge achievement for a very young team.
Team manager and U13 Junior county coach, Debbie Rigby, could not be prouder of her players.
'It was a fantastic day of badminton, a real rollercoaster of emotions.
I feel both exhausted and exhilarated and that was just watching!
It was so tense, so exciting and so completely what badminton is all about."
