An excellent tournament which attracted many of the best players to compete.Of the 121 entries, 65 of them were from Lancashire, which says a lot about the tournament and its organisers.
The biggest thanks must go to our tournament organiser, Yunus Suleman, for his tireless work on the day, not to mention the weeks and days leading up to the tournament itself.
Assisting Yunus on the referee's table, our Chair, Graham Holt, and two excellent shuttle monitors and pr volunteers, Tracy Davies and Claire Banfield.
Our Lancashire medal winners:
Tom Gillett: gold medal in the men's doubles and bronze medal in the men's singles
Conway Wong: silver medal in the men's singles
Danny Wolfenden: bronze medal in the men's singles
Jasmine Kwong: silver medals in both the ladies' doubles and the mixed
Mirza Noor Ali: gold medal in the mixed doubles
Rachel Dewhurst: gold medal in the mixed doubles
Lock Kah Sheng: silver medal in the mixed doubles
Ellen Liddle: bronze medal in the mixed doubles
Michael Johnstone: bronze medal in the men's doubles
Joe Steele: bronze medal in the men's doubles
It was good to see several of our county junior players competing in the senior tournament and performing so well: Rose Kennedy, Jack Wilford and Neel Vandanapu #risingstars
