It has been another fantastic season for the Greater Manchester Junior Badminton League with four tournaments taking place over the season.
"Arranged into 2 age groups with 2 Divisions in each age group, organiser, Tony Kelly, said:
"This season has seen new teams enter the tournament bringing different players and new challenges. The future of badminton in and around Greater Manchester is looking very promising indeed."
This year saw teams from Bolton, Oldham, Heywood, Colne, Rossendale, Sale, Stretford and Liverpool enter the tournament, all with excellent sporting attitudes and fabulous enthusiasm and love for the game.
"Our thanks must go to the players and their team managers for giving the youngsters this opportunity, also to their parents for all the support they give," said Tony.
Many congratulations to Set Sale A and B, who topped both of the Year 9 groups in both divisions; also to Fords from Liverpool who won the Year 11 A division and Forrest from Bolton who topped Year 11 B division.
Aimed at junior players who have yet to play for their county, this friendly, well supported tournament is always on the look out for new teams to play against.
