1975-76 - Inter County Champions
Peter Birtwistle was particularly proud when - at the helm of the Lancashire County Badminton Association - the Lancashire 1st Team finally became the Inter County Champions
Southern Counties (Surrey, Kent and Essex) had monopolised the County Championship for the previous 25 years
The Team comprised of :
Paul Bullivant, Peter Bullivant, John Cocker, Steve Denner, Gary Scott, Brian Wallwork, Peter Wood
Bridget Cooper, Kathy Redhead, Doris Smith, Barbara Walsh, Sue Whittaker
Team Manager was Brian Seed
As Peter Birtwistle had achieved the trilogy of
Senior Club, County and Country standard of Badminton
So too did 5 players from the 1975-76 Team
Most had also come through the Junior ranks and so had played at the level of Junior Club, County and Country
Before then going onto play at the level of
Senior Club, County and Country standard of Badminton
They were
